Subject: Re: Announcement of Journal of Asian Midwives
Dear Members:
Despite of the immense work done in south central and Middle East Asia, there is a dearth for information related to midwifery from Asian countries.
Now our regional midwives and maternal, neonatal, and child health (MNCH) experts have come together to improve this situation.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the first regional and international peer-reviewed online midwifery journal called Journal of Asian Midwives (JAM) ISSN 2409-2290. JAM will bepromoting midwifery in Asia through the publication of high-quality research papers, theoretical papers, policy papers in the field of midwifery practice, education and studies. The Regional and International Editorial, Associate and the Advisory Boards will maintain its quality. JAM is owned by the South Asian Midwifery Alliance (SAMA). The biannual issues of JAM will be published in June and December.
The Journal of Asian Midwives can be accessed through the following link
http://ecommons.aku.edu/jam
The online JAM will be manage, archive, and host in ecommons through courtesy of Aga Khan University library and School of Nursing and Midwifery (AKU-SONAM). We invite practicing midwives, midwifery faculty and students, and all the MNCH and reproductive health providers to write for upcoming issues of JAM.
Looking forward to your manuscripts for JAM which can be submitted at
Regards,
Rafat Jan
Chair, SAMA
