Cesar,
> dear all, i have a question about the vbm analysis, i have 2 groups: controls (n=15) and occ patients(n=15), i have to create a template for the entire sample (n=30)? or i have to create a template for each group? i'm using the Ashburner's tutorial to pre-process the images, is that correct?
a classical question :) If you search the list's archives at
https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?S1=spm you may find some
(several, actually) hits, but the bottomline is, no, you do not want
different templates for your groups as you are then more likely to find
the influence of template than that of group. Also, with a group size
like yours, I would think long and hard if it is necessary to create
your own template to begin with, which depens on factors like disorder
you are interested in, subject age, group composition etc. Again, the
archives may help you making up your mind.
Cheers,
Marko
