Subject: Request for information from Relgious Archives Group
With colleagues at Cultural Consulting Network, I am working for Cowper
and Newton Museum in Olney, Buckinghamshire
(http://www.cowperandnewtonmuseum.org.uk/) to help support their
business
planning over the next 5 years. The volunteer-run museum, which is in a
fine listed Georgian building in the centre of the town of Olney,
focuses
on the life of William Cowper (1731-1800) the poet and John Newton
(1725-1807) the parish priest and Cowper's friend and collaborator.
Together they wrote the world famous hymn Amazing Grace. Cowper was an
important anti-slavery campaigner in this later life.
I am contacting the Relgious Archives Group members to see if its
members
can offer any lessons which we might learn about success or failures in
your business planning, income streams and revenue generation, and how
you
manage the activities, which support the viability of the archive you
manage. We are interested in things which you might have tried that
worked better than expected or the opposite.
If you have any information which you would be happy to share perhaps
you
could contact me on the email or telephone number below?
Many thanks,
Katie Norgrove
