Hi Rob,
Welcome to the Moonshot world! :-)
As Josh and Rhys have already pointed out, the Moonshot Wiki is a good place to start. Along with Alan, I'm happy to help you as well. If you want to try this out by joining the Janet trust router, please get in touch… we're happy to get you started. :-)
I'm available on Skype at stefan.paetow.janet or on FaceTime at [log in to unmask] :-)

Subject: interested, but where to get started?
I work at a university that already has shibboleth/SAML as well as eduroam. I'm (personally) interested in being more acquainted and learning about Moonshoot, though I don't have any preconceived notions about use cases that would apply to us... but nonetheless I would like to better understand the project.. especially around the trust routers, how a 'web of trust' is formed, and interactions particularily with Radius, RadSec, and dynamic discovery. I've looked a few slide deck presentations I could find, but the mechanics are still largely unknown to me and because of that, I'm really unsure of even where/how to being to "set it up and see for yourself". Can anyway offer an guidance or perhaps resources/presentations/technical details that I perhaps haven't found to solidify some basic understand before trying to launch off into the deep end?
Thanks,
