** On behalf of Matthew Bennett <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> **
Dear Colleagues
My name is Matthew Bennett, I am an academic at Bournemouth University, and I am looking for academic participants to take part in a small data collection exercise and wondered whether you would be interested in participating but also in passing on my email through your own academic network beyond BU?
You can find details of the exercise on the following blog posts:
http://blogs.bournemouth.ac.uk/research/2014/09/01/on-academic-writing/
https://www.callforparticipants.com/55YCFF
Basically I am interested in exploring how different academics approach the process of writing in a fairly informal and light touch way. As set out in the links and below all I am looking for is for participants to spend a few minutes reflecting on their own practice and download their thoughts into an email to me. All data will be held anonymously unless you are happy to be identified and I will send you a consent form and a participant information sheet if you chose to respond. As for why I am interested in the data, curiosity mainly but in time I may try to synthesise your thoughts (assuming I get enough respondents!) and play them back in a paper or perhaps in a book which might be of use to the academic community.
You can also contact me on [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
