What a brill Friday discussion, badges, enlargers and cardboard. There must be some linked data from someone to enable mention of a Blue Peter badge and a ZX81...

Thanks everyone. Great discussion as ever, and some nice links (if I wasn't working all weekend!)
My own home set-up is also based on an old enlarger stand and some eBay anglepoise strip lights (https://www.flickr.com/photos/whatsthatpicture/7889755730/), and part of my inspiration for this new idea is a Soviet era enlarger I have that comes apart and all fits into a neat little briefcase (one like this - http://www.submin.com/general/collection/accessories/zenith_upa5m.htm).
So, something you could take with you and run pop-up digitisation sessions with at events, but also encourage family history societies and keen individuals to buy/build. So yes, exactly Google Cardboard like.
Cheers, James
