Dear all,
From the Center Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB<http://www.cccb.org/en/>) we are launching for the first time the Cultural Innovation International Prize<http://www.innovationcccb.org/en_GB/home>. Our objective is to stimulate projects that explore possible cultural scenarios of next coming years through investigation and practice.
In this first edition 2014/2015, the chosen theme is "AUDIENCE/S". What do we refer to when we talk about audience/s in cultural centers, museums and similar spaces today? What does this concept mean at a time when the boundaries between the physical and virtual space are blurring, intermingling, or disappearing? What are the real needs of these new audiences? Are cultural centers and museums meeting them? What innovations could they implement to fulfill their mission?
To be in the running for the Prize, candidates must submit a project for the creation, production and/or presentation of cultural content based on a format, subject and/or mode of management that innovatively responds to the theme of "AUDIENCE/S" . The author or authors of the winning project will receive a prize of 10.000 euros. If appropriate, the project can also be developed at the CCCB, which will provide the necessary support.
Call for entries between 1st of October until the 5 of February 2015.
