Subject: Spreading the word about InformAll
Dear all,
InformAll (formerly RIDLs) is the network that brings together all those, in the library world and especially beyond, who wish to promote the importance and relevance of information literacy. InformAll has now been set up as a membership organisation; a new statement explains the benefits of joining - this is available at www.researchinfonet.org/infolit/ridls/why-you-should-join-informall/ , both as a web page and a pdf. The document seeks to explain briefly what makes the organisation distinctive, and to set out clearly an initial list of benefits – these will be refined and expanded as InformAll develops its offering over the coming months. It would be really helpful if readers of this list could help disseminate this information, and I’d be grateful if you would consider forwarding the statement within your organisations and networks; I also have glossy hard copies available if this helps. Please contact me at [log in to unmask] .
Everyone is welcome to join, and can do so on the InformAll web pages at www.informall.org.uk . An important priority is to boost membership, particularly among categories of individuals and organisations that we haven’t touched to date – so do feel free to encourage colleagues and contacts to sign up!
I should add that InformAll will be present at ECIL2014 next week, so if you’re participating and would like to touch base with us, please get in touch.
Best wishes,
Stéphane
