Hi Karen,
What I find so unfair about this is that as far as I am aware the
requirement has come in SINCE my last appraisal working up to
revalidation. I was told by my appraiser that I had jumped through all
of the hoops and had no worries - it would basically be a tick in the
box to get me through. I now get this e-mail telling me to provide the
relevant info within a month - just as I am about to go on holiday. No
wonder others are just packing in. I agree with you that a lot of this
is stupid as we do so much that is never recognised. I have no
problems doing this for my NEXT appraisal cycle, but find it so unfair
now.
Maybe it is time for that permanent holiday. Must say that I do enjoy
my extra time off these days. Have written to them and will see what
is said. Not sure that I will jump through too many hoops to get
through as this 'old dog' is too tired for new tricks!.
Best wishes
Paul

There are also other options for this part including a case history, or evidence of developing your practice, but they are considered more difficult to evidence I think. I just checked in Clarity and it looks as if in the next cycle audit is not included unless it just comes up when the previous one is out of date? not certain.
> I get really fed up with all this, I got through revalidation this year, but am not sure I will bother next time, it is particularly irritating that despite jumping through these hoops, they count for nothing in other situations, I showed in my appraisals all my coil fitting evidence of numbers done in a year and the audit of my log and regular CPD, but that was of no use as I was not a paid up member of the faculty of family planning, which was the only hoop I had not jumped through so I do not do this any more as I would have to do a basic family planning course first, which would be a total waste of time and money.
