That seems like a seriously good idea: what would happen if everyone put the
link on their practice website, with the information that, naturally,
although unable to refuse the CQC inspectors access to patients' records,
the practice undertakes to inform the patients whose records have been
accessed?
Will the members of the CQC team be named?

Will I be seeing you at the PHCSG Confernce on 9-10th October?

Processing"

The solution as I've noted before is that every access to the patient
notes should be reported to the patient.

Of course, now that GPs don't control the location of records, or
access to them, or the development of the automation systems around
them, this becomes difficult or unfeasible for us to do individually.

People who properly have and use an official right to inspect a
medical record will have no difficulty or reticence in explaining this
to their subject.
