You will be qualified to Doctorate level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment. The School of Tourism is one of the world's largest centres for broad interdisciplinary research in Tourism, Events, Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Retailing. Fully funded PhD opportunities with a specific Events and Leisure focus with a deadline of 18 November 2014

These Scholarships will be awarded competitively and will comprise a stipend of £13,863 per annum, a fee waiver (i.e. no fee) and a contribution towards the research costs of undertaking the PhD. In addition, it is expected that successful candidates will be able to undertake a limited amount of tutorial/seminar work (not exceeding 6 hours a week) for which additional payment will be made at the part-time hourly paid rate.
