I think there are two principles to be gained from all this, which I
can only suggest here in very basic terms, though they're capable of a
lot of elaboration (and, of course, objection)
1. If you put *all* the weight (in poetry and in interpretation
generally) on what the words do not say (whether justified
etymologically or not) you are simply entering into a mess of
randomness, and also putting ourself in a very vulnerable position.
2. You cannot run any kind of politics through a focus on language.
It's a disaster, and finally risks betraying your own best wishes.
