There are still a handful of places left for the 'advancing in R' statistics course being held in December at SCENE (the Scottish Center for Ecology and the Natural Environment), Glasgow, United Kingdom.
‘Advancing in R’ is designed to bridge the gap between basic R coding and more advanced statistical modelling. It will cover model selection and simplification methods, likelihood ratio tests, mixed effect models, Generalised Linear Models (GLM’s) (binomial and count data), nonlinear models (polynomial & mechanistic models) and how to combine these methods (e.g., nonlinear mixed effect (NLME) models & generalised linear mixed effect (GLMM) models)
‘Advancing in R’ 1st – 5th December 2014; £350 for the 5 day course including lunches and refreshments; £525 for a residential option which includes all meals, refreshments and accommodation. Accommodation is multiple occupancy (max 3 people) single sex en-suite rooms.
