Dear Asia in the North list members,

The following may be of interest to those working on greater China who
are not currently members of the British Association for Chinese
Studies. If you are not already a member, why not sign up today? The
Journal is open to all regardless of whether they are a member or not.

Best wishes,

Jon Howlett

Dear BACS members,

We are pleased to announce that BACS has a new website: http://bacsuk.org.uk/

Also this week we are delighted to say, we have published the fourth
edition of the Journal of the British Association for Chinese Studies.
This volume features an article by Qi Zhang and essays and notes by
Stephen McDowell and William A. Callahan as well as a wide range of
book reviews, all of which we are sure will be of great interest.

The table of contents is copied below.

A reminder: the BACS Journal is a peer-reviewed e-journal publishing
articles and reviews across the disciplines. There is no charge to
contributors or readers and the turnaround time for publication is
much quicker than many competing publications. Why not submit your
next publication to BACS?

Best wishes,

Jon Howlett
