British Museum: Egypt Documentation Project Curator
The British Museum is seeking a Project Curator to lead a new project in collaboration with the Ministry of Antiquities (Egypt). The Egypt Documentation Project, possible through the support of the Arcadia Foundation, aims to train teams of
early- and mid-career Egyptian archaeologists and Egyptologists in digital documentation of objects – including photography and metadata fields – and the creation of a database for this information. The project will comprise an intensive schedule of object documentation in six distinct archaeological storerooms.
The Project Curator will lead the project, spend significant time delivering training in Egypt, oversee two Cairo-based staff and the project budget, and liaise with stakeholders from the Ministry of Antiquities and the British Museum.
Deadline for applications: November 13
