Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £26,976- £31,614 per year, but this appointment is funded for 6 months only.
Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of this post is to analyse data for a systematic review associated with smoking and cardiovascular disease (from observational studies), which have been extracted from published papers. Regression modelling will be used, and standard techniques for meta-analysis. There may also be an electronic search of the recent medical literature, reviewing abstracts, obtaining published papers, and extracting data from them. The post holder will also be in a position to learn more about clinical trials, and gain teaching experience (if they wish).
Key Requirements
The postholder should be a graduate (B.Sc. or above) in epidemiology or medical statistics. Working knowledge of statistical analyses packages, regression, and Medline or PubMed is essential.
