Dear Liz,
Keep me posted I'd love to join you for AWG, nothing to add to the topic for now though.
Many thanks

Subject: Next AWG meeting
Dear All,
I offered to host the next meeting of the Archaeobotany Workgroup (AWG), so this is to let you know that there will be a meeting at The Hive, Worcester in early February (date yet to be confirmed, and more information will be forthcoming).
Following suggestions made after the last meeting I would like to propose an informal discussion on 'collaboration and 'Impact' in archaeobotany'. This follows on from discussions that have been initiated recently on 'Data sharing' at the last AWG in Leicester last March, a paper presented at the EAA conference in Istanbul on collaborative working by Gill Campbell and others, and Jiscmail discussions on bridging the gap between commercial and academic archaeology. 'Impact' has become an important part of UK research funding bodies' requirements (as defined by NERC and AHRC for example), so some may wish to talk about this.
Would anyone like to share ideas or examples of projects? Topics that been aired recently include grey literature, data sharing, mentoring etc. Are you working in academic research and would like to discuss ways to connect to other communities, such as the wider public, heritage planners, commercial organisations etc to extend the impact of your work?
I hope to set up a session for bringing along material for a second opinion. Please could you let me know (contacts below) if you would like to come so that I can get an idea of numbers.
