Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to you to bring your attention to the upcoming free webinar series organised by mhpss.net.
The MHPSS Network (mhpss.net) is a growing global platform for connecting people, networks and organizations, for sharing resources and for building knowledge related to mental health and psychosocial support both in emergency settings and in situations of chronic hardship. This autumn, we present two webinars focusing on refugee integration.
One of the aims behind the webinar series is to bring together the field-based practitioners and researchers together from across the word to share their expertise and experiences on the process of refugee integration. For that reason the webinars will contribute to both theory and practices of refugee integration. Further details on webinar series can be accessed here: http://mhpss.net/event/join-us-for-the-new-forthcoming-autumn-2014-webinar-series-check-out-the-programme-and-register/
The first webinar will focus on Holistic Refugee Integration Services by Scottish Refugee Council and will take place on Thursday 16th October at 13:00 of the UK time (UTC+1) (9:00 in Toronto; 13:00 in London; 14:00 in Geneva and Johannesburg; 20:00 in Philippines)
Presenters: Elodie Mignard and Joe Brandy Scottish Refugee Council
Webinar summary: This webinar will present the initial learning from the first year of delivery of the Holistic Integration Services coordinated by Scottish Refugee Council. The Holistic Integration Services aims to assist new refugees to rebuild their lives in Scotland by offering them a personalised, outcome- based service that promotes independence. The webinar therefore will provide the practical insights of the integration programmes.
