Call for Papers
Call for short/TEDx type 15mins talk, posters and demonstrations* in
machine vision. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
· Learning for machine vision
· Face, body and gesture recognition
· Motion flow and tracking
· Early and biologically inspired vision
· Image processing techniques and methods
· Texture, shape and colour
· Object detection and recognition
BMVA’s 1-day student symposium provides an excellent opportunity for
researchers to meet, learn about and share research “in progress”. This
can consist of revised presentations previously presented at
conferences, or draft papers for journal peer-review. If you are not
sure please contact the symposium Chair.
The symposium will be structured with short talks and poster
presentations along with keynotes by:
Professor Tim Ellis, Director of Kingston University’s Digital Imaging
Research Centre and
Professor Elena Gaura, Associate Dean Research Engineering and
Computing, Coventry University.
If you are interested in presenting work broadly related to Computer
Vision, Graphics or Machine Learning, please submit a brief abstract to

30 January 2015.
