Hi Kathryn
At DMU we don't use Port Blockers
We have a number of strategies at DMU but basically we ensure that students don't have access to the internet (either by using stand alone PCs with printers) / there are given a generic login which doesn't allow them to access their own files . In the majority of cases we make sure students can print their responses off within the room.

Hi Katrhyn
Middlesex University:
We do not use USB port blockers but this is something that we have considered in the past.
For PC exams - we using generic LRC log ins to prevent students from accessing their own files. The students then save their work to a USB issued by the exams office.
Many thanks

Subject: USB Port Blockers
Dear Colleagues,
Does anyone use USB port blockers for exams taken on PCs/laptops? Also, does anyone use/know of a USB that can be locked into place (so that students can't remove it and insert their own). If you can recommend any such products I'd be grateful for details. I'd also be interested to hear of any other security measures you may have in place for exams undertaken on a PC.
Many thanks,
Kathryn
