I am looking at trying to find a more efficient way of moving trauma patients onto and off the CT Table. We have looked at using a ‘CT Safe’ scoop stretcher, but our neuroradiologists and medical physicists say they need 30% higher dose of radiation to get the same image quality using a scoop rather than without a scoop.
Is there a suitable mattress that can be used to facilitate sliding patient on and off CT table without using a PAT slide? Do any of you have any other equipment to facilitate this transfer?
Thanks
Jules
