With just weeks to go until Scottish voters decide whether to become independent or stay in the Union, this free evening research seminar offers a chance to learn what factors are associated with voting ‘yes’ or ‘no’. Using evidence from the Scottish Social Attitudes survey, it will cover the main demographic determinants of support plus some of the issues that will be at the forefront of voter’s minds on polling day.
The seminar is presented by Annie Wild, a researcher at ScotCen Social Research who works primarily on the Scottish Social Attitudes survey. Part of her role is running WhatScotlandThinks.org which allows users to explore the Scottish Social Attitudes survey and tracks opinion polling relating to the Scottish independence debate.
There will be time for questions and discussion following the presentation.
