Parliamentary Archives – Corporate Records Manager
Salary Band B2 £28,216 - £35,316 per annum.
As part of a team of nine and reporting to one of two Senior Corporate Records Managers, the role is involved in a wide range of professional activities, providing an excellent opportunity to develop skills and undertake new challenges whilst participating in the delivery of a dynamic records management programme.
Key responsibilities of the post will include some of the following:
• promoting good records and information management practices across the House administrations
• providing advice, support and guidance to staff of both Houses
• administering and carrying out testing for the corporate EDRMS
• agreeing and implementing changes to the fileplan structure used in Parliament’s EDRMS
• developing further Parliament’s Classification Scheme to reflect current business practices
• overseeing the development of disposal processes
• developing written guidance for staff of both Houses and delivering training
• administering the network of Record Officers working in the business areas
• developing internal communications and working on campaigns
This post will not be responsible for undertaking all of these tasks together. Instead, the duties assigned to Corporate Records Manager posts are rotated periodically to ensure staff obtain a well-rounded experience. There is also the opportunity for line management as these posts rotate.
