Queen's University Belfast has set up the Research Fellowship
programme to select the very best researchers from all over the world
and enable them to work at Queen's. Successful candidates can work in
any strategic research area of excellence that Queen's University
Belfast currently conducts research. Successful candidates will have
minimal teaching and administration duties throughout the duration of
the award albeit with some gradual increase over the course of the
fellowship to align with their likely academic position. The purpose of
the scheme is to allow fellows to concentrate on their research and
develop rounded leadership skills through career development training.
Two of the areas of excellence are Astrophysics along with Data Science
and Big data. We welcome applications in these areas.
Fellows across all faculties will be appointed at AC3 Grade 8, point 37
(pay range GBP 38,511 to GBP 50,200 including contribution points).
Fellows will receive a non-pay element to assist with start-up activities
upon receiving the fellowship, GBP 40k.
Applicant should normally have a minimum of three years and a maximum of
ten years post PhD experience. For further details please see the job

date of the PhD is defined by the candidate in accordance with the norms
of the institution from which they graduated.
