Research Computing System Administrator
The College of Science at the University of Nevada, Reno is offering an Administrative Faculty position for a System Administrator to support research computing. The incumbent will be responsible for infrastructure development and maintenance for all high performance research computing needs in the college, including management and administration of multiple Linux clusters and Linux servers, and configuration of research network devices. Duties also include researching and making recommendations for hardware purchases, serving as the point of contact for college level software licenses, and coordinating data management at the college level. Candidates must have at least an earned bachelor’s degree with experience in scientific computing and system administration.
