Dear all

The Social Science Applied to Healthcare Improvement Research (SAPPHIRE) Group at the University of Leicester is currently advertising for two research associates to join its team. The successful candidates will work to support a range of research projects concerning the promotion of quality and safety in health care, improving the uptake and spread of good practice, and sustaining improvements in the way that care is delivered.

These projects include:
A Phased Evaluation of the Impact of High- Intensity Specialist-Led Acute Care (HiSLAC) of Emergency Medical Admissions to NHS Hospitals
A study on patient and public involvement in the NHS following the reforms to the system introduced in 2012
A study of how acute hospital care for frail older people can best be organised to ensure high-quality care
A study sponsored by the NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) East Midlands, on the uptake and use of evidence in commissioning, provision and integration of health and social care services.

You will have a PhD, or be in the process of submitting a PhD, in social science, or very extensive experience of conducting social science research and have significant experience of qualitative research methods, including qualitative data analysis

Further details are available at http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/AJL773/research-associate-2-positions/. Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to me on [log in to unmask] The closing date is 22 September.

Best wishes

Graham Martin
