Dear Colleague,
The Manchester Distance Learning Network (MaDLeN) is proud to be able to offer you this free event entitled: Closing the gap on the off-campus student experience.
Date: Wednesday, 8th October 2014
Time: 12.30pm (for lunch)
Place: The University of Manchester
Final speakers are now confirmed:
- Terry McAndrew from the Higher Education Academy will present about accessibility for online courses for students with a disability or learning difficulty.
- Representatives from The University of Manchester central student support services will demonstrate how they can support off-campus students.
- Judy Bloxham from JISC will speak on innovative ways to provide online feedback.
- Elizabeth Metzger from Florida International University will talk about Quality Matters and the student experience via videoconference link.
This event is for administrators, eLearning technologists or academics who engage in any kind of online learning. The increasingly blurred lines between distance learning and face-to-face teaching means that there is an increasing need for those teaching in a face-to-face context to explore these issues, as well as distance learning practitioners.
