Seminar on 'Physical Activity as a Career: A Life-course Perspective'
A one day seminar will be held at the University of Exeter for academics, policy makers, health and social care practitioners, physical activity and sport providers and those working in the voluntary and statutory sectors.
This seminar is organised by the University of Exeter and is the first in a series of eight funded by the Economic and Social Research Council entitled 'More of the Same is not Enough': New Directions in Ageing and Physical Activity.
It will examine how participation in physical activity might take the form of a career to be negotiated through life course transitions.
Speakers will include:
Professor Gertrude Pfister, University of Copenhagen
Dave Terrace, AgeUK
Professor Barbara Humberstone, New Bucks University
