BSA AGEING, BODY & SOCIETY STUDY GROUP 6TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE: RESEARCHING BODIES
Call for Papers - only one week to go to submit your abstract. Deadline Friday 12th September 2014
The deadline for abstract submissions is fast approaching - only one week left to submit your abstract for the BSA Ageing, Body & Society Group 6th Annual Conference: Researching Bodies.
This year's conference includes a keynote address by Prof Les Back (Goldsmiths University) who will speak on: Inscriptions of Love: the body as an impermanent canvas and a plenary panel on researching bodies including Dr Richard Ward (University of Stirling), Professor Carey Jewitt (IOE London), Dr Christina Buse (University of Leeds) and Dr Rob Meadows (University of Surrey) exploring themes including dimensions of the biosocial, visual, sensory and digital.
We invite abstracts for poster and oral presentation that will be 15-20 minutes in length. We encourage researchers to share their presentation on 'researching bodies' and welcome abstracts on different theoretical and methodological approaches, emergent ideas, work in progress, practitioner perspectives, and empirical findings.
Abstracts of 250 words should be submitted before midnight on Friday 12th September 2014 online. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.
For further details and abstract submission please visit our website at:
