Overview: Have you ever wanted support in building and developing your own international library connections? The International Librarians Network (ILN) is a volunteer-led facilitated, peer mentoring program aimed at helping librarians achieve just this. Launched in 2013, the ILN now has participants from over 25 countries across the globe. The program remains free and the only requirements to participate are an Internet connection, half an hour each week and a desire to build professional connections and learn from colleagues. Further information about the ILN is available online at http://ilnetwork.wordpress.com/about/

Speaker: Claire McKenzie, Outreach Team Leader for Humanities, Creative Arts and Social Sciences at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Library.

Directions to CILIP: http://www.cilip.org.uk/contact-us/pages/map.aspx

The access codes for the building are E, G, W, X.

ILIG Informals are not lectures; they are informal, but informative, early evening meetings with a short talk on a theme of international interest plus plenty of time for questions and networking. They are open to all and absolutely free.

Light refreshments (nibbles and wine) are served which is why we ask you to let ILIG know you are coming by booking online by no later than Monday 6th October 2014.

ILIG’s informals are free but for catering purposes please register at http://tinyurl.com/mh2njmy
