Dear all,
for our training PCs (they run Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and I cannot change
that) I was trying to setup a Grid UI. Installed Ubuntu 12.04 in a
virtual machine to test, as I have no root access, but have to ask an
admin, so I wanted to keep the installation process as simple as possible.
My first guess was to try cvmfs which was quickly setup and is running
nicely.
I tried to run the UI version emi-ui-3.7.3-1_sl6v, but finally had to
give up with unmet dependencies (glite-wms-job-* require - among others
- libssl.so.10, which is only provided for the older EMI-2 versions).
EMI-UI-2.10.4-1 is 32bit only (wrong ELF class ELFCLASS32).
So my question would be if someone had more luck in getting an UI
running on Ubuntu (perfect would be of course if it would 12.04 as well).
Thanks
Torsten
