The University of Glasgow is delighted to offer a PhD scholarship opportunity for candidates interested in pursuing doctoral research in German literature or culture between 1848 and 1900 in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures. Proposals taking either a thematic approach, or focusing on the work of a particular author, are very welcome. The scholarship is for three years’ full-time study, and offers an annual stipend of £10,000, plus tuition fees at the UK/EU rate. The start date is October 2014 or January 2015. The scholarship will include around four hours per week of internship duties, which may be teaching or administration.
