Apologies if anyone was offended by this, but you will probably realise
that we have made several attempts to get Janet staff responsible for
DNS operations involved on this mailing list.

But reverse zones are already in the portal, aren't they? I think I even
asked at one point "what would happen if I clicked the <add DS> button
for one of them?".
I do understand that DNS operations are a small part of Janet's activities,
and that you in particular were diverted from it to manage the roll out of
SuperJanet 6 in 2013.
As regards the low uptake, there's a chicken-and-egg problem there. Also
we are still waiting for the killer application, while assuming it will
be (some part of?) DANE...

That's certainly good news.
On a personal note (talking now to the whole list) I am retiring at the end
of this month, and while I hope to remain subscribed here I may not be in a
position to go on producing the news summaries. I do hope to get one final
one out later this week.
At such a time one tends to get frustrated about things that one really hoped
would get done "before I retire". Although in this context, the chain-of-trust
for reverse zones (and hence continued dependence on dlv.isc.org) is hardly
top of the list. I really wanted to see the first KSK rollover for the root
zone, for example!
