I am in search of disabled academic employees at the University of Oxford and Sheffield Hallam University for my PHD research. I am researching working environments for disabled academics at universities in England. My inspiration is my own disability and my own experiences as a disabled student with aspirations of working in academia.

I would be grateful to be contacted by disabled academic (teaching assistants, lecturers, readers, researchers, professors, etc.) from any subject area (science, mathematics, social sciences, liberal arts, sports, etc.) will to participate in my oral-history interview research from the University of Oxford and Sheffield Hallam University.

Many thanks,

Nadia.

Subject: People with Disabilities wanted to teach English via the Internet

Genashtim is looking for People with Disabilities with backgrounds in teaching, training or allied disciplines to teach English via the Internet.

Also they have Abled Online a remote PC assistance service to troubleshoot computer problems staffed by people with disabilities which you could consider next time you have computer problems.

Thomas Ng is the founder of Genashtim (www.genashtim.com), and which are a for-profit social enterprise. The social aspects of our business are in these webpages:- www.genashtim.com/beyondcsr.

This 4 minute video which we were asked to prepare for the UN Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights for one of their conferences in Geneva in March this year, gives a good glimpse of what we do:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4wOh4U8VnA&feature=youtu.be

Genashtim was set up in 2004 to bring world-leading eLearning programs to Asia. We have since developed our own online learning solutions, and embarked on other online support services.

We are very passionate about what we do because:

We believe that technology and the internet will become increasingly

ubiquitous in our lives and in society.

Doing things online minimizes commuting, consumption, depletion of

natural resources, and emissions.

Online learning and services are more accessible to marginalized societies and also enables marginalized societies to be sustainably employed

in its delivery.

GENASHTIM IS HIRING!

*	Are you interested in embarking on a career that will change your

outlook and perception on work?

*	Are you deeply passionate about communicating effectively with

people from around the world, and helping them improve in their communication skills?

*	Are you an individual who enjoys working remotely, with a high level

of commitment and responsibility to ensure quality deliverance in everything that you do?

If you answered yes to the questions above, then Genashtim is the place to be for you! We are now recruiting fresh and new candidates to join our workforce today and beyond.

ONLINE ENGLISH COACHES

Genashtim is recruiting Online English Coaches to support our world-class English proficiency programme, EPiC Online. With international clients from all over the world, EPiC is expanding steadily with the increasing demand for its services.

Our Requirements:

*	High command, fluency, grasp and understanding of the English

Language (both written and spoken)

*	Must possess their own laptop/PC with a high-speed, stable Internet

connection in a home environment

*	Must be willing to work at any time, ie. afternoons, evenings,

holidays and weekends

*	A pleasant personality and good work ethics is key

*	Ability to speak Chinese, Japanese or Thai is an advantage

Conferences Detail

NADP-UK International Conference 2015

The National Association of Disability Practitioners International Conference -'Working for disability equality in Higher Education - the global perspective' will be taking place in Manchester from 20th - 24th July 2015. It is supported by the University of Manchester Directorate for the Student Experience and Disability Support Office and will provide a global perspective, focusing on disabled student support from pre-entry to University or College onto successful transition into employment.

Support systems and services around the world are often recognised as being of a high quality, however, there is still much to learn and develop. This conference will enable delegates from the global community to come together and share knowledge, practical skills and good practice in the provision of support for disabled students

We are delighted that Scott Lissner (Chair of AHEAD), Ann Heelan (AHEAD Ireland) and Nicole Ofeish (Independent Learning Consultant and Stanford University) have agreed to give keynote presentations at the conference.

Please go to the International Conference tab for information about submitting an abstract for consideration Supporting Documents
