We are thinking about setting up a friends group to support our archive with advocacy, volunteering and fundraising. I would be very grateful to see examples of constitutions from established archive or library friends groups and to find out what level of involvement is normally invested by archive services in their setting up and administration.
There are lots of good news stories about the successes of friends groups, but does anyone regret the establishment of one for any reason? (e.g. time consuming, failed to meet expectations, difficulties managing friends' relationship). Any advice or comments would be very welcome.
Many thanks,
Ishbel
