*Call for Papers*
*Contemporary Congolese Studies | *CONGO RESEARCH NETWORK
The Congo Research Network is currently organising its third conference,
which will be held on *June 11 and 12 2015*, in collaboration with the
African Studies Centre at the *University of Cambridge, UK*.
The Keynote Address will be delivered by *Professor Nancy Rose Hunt
(University of Michigan)*, on the theme of “Moods & Congolese Studies.”
The conference will bring together both junior and senior scholars in
Congolese Studies, working at European, North American and African research
institutions.
Participants are invited to present papers, research projects and
works-in-progress. We are seeking proposals which address Congolese
society, culture or history, with a particular interest in proposals which
fall under the following themes:

Environment and natural resources

Religious dynamics
·

Postcolonial governance and the role of NGOs
·

Popular and material culture
·

Colonial and postcolonial states

There is no registration fee, and while we are unable to provide funding
for travel expenses, accommodation will be available on campus at very
reasonable rates.
