Hi esteemed colleagues,
I have been referred a man who recently had his T. Mirtazipine doubled from 15 mg to 30 mg ,during several weeks absence with "personal stress" - (domestic issues). He is feeling better but currently describes still feeling "lethargic and lacking energy". He is likely to RTW around 6 weeks after his dosage increase, allowing him the time to adapt to the effects of his medication.
The company is concerned about his fitness to return to FLT driving, and has referred him back to me for a FLT medical (which I advised they do prior to them returning him to this particular element of his role). However, I am now wondering what is the best way of objectively measuring his "alertness", which is the factor most likely to be affected by the medication. Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.
Regards
Deborah Caspi
