The Germanic Society for Forensic Linguistics is proud to announce that the schedule for the 2014Roundtable has been finalized. This year’s guest speakers and their topics will be the following:
• Detective M. Allen Police Jargon: More than Words Can Say?
• Dr. S. Blackwell Language in the Service of Lawfare: The ‘Working Definition of Anti-semitism’ of the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC)
• Dr. F.van der Houwen Inquisitorial Criminal Court: No jury, No Cross examination but an Active Judge (and Prosecutor)
• Dr. B. Eisenwort The Vienna Corpus of Suicide Notes: Collection of Data, Themes, and Measurement of Cognitive Constriction
Along with these special guest lectures, the Roundtable will have more than 30 different scientific presentations on forensic linguistics and forensic phonetics from an international group of researchers and practitioners.
