Hi
I'm not using SUSE but came across a similar issue a little while ago
using an Arch Linux system which has the latest ncurses installed but no
longer has a libtinfo.so.5 file.
There is a libtinfo package in the Arch Linux AUR suite...
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/libtinfo/
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/li/libtinfo/PKGBUILD
which just creates relevant symbolic links so perhaps you will have to
do something like this as root on your SUSE system...
ln -s /usr/lib/libncurses.so.5 /usr/lib/libtinfo.so.5
ldconfig
Cheers
Paul.
