Graduate engineer or scientist (flood modelling/GIS)

As a result of continuing success in winning research and consultancy projects in the field of probabilistic flood modelling, we are now looking to appoint a new or recently qualified engineer or scientist. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate strong analytical skills, particularly in the use and analysis of spatial and environmental datasets. Some practical experience in the use of GIS is essential and experience in hydraulic modelling will be an advantage. Demonstration of organisational qualities, flexibility and team working are other important attributes for this post.
Working as a member of the GIS team within the Flood Management Group, you will have responsibility for delivering data analysis, flood modelling and GIS processing for a wide range of research and consultancy projects, covering topics ranging from flood hazard mapping and risk modelling to climate change assessments and scheme optimisation. It is essential that you can work well individually and as part of a team.
