Dear colleagues,
Registration for the GSSN symposium will remain open for the next couple of weeks. However, I will be on annual leave during this period so if you still wish to register please contact Luke Postlethwaite (one of our GSSN 2014 PG symposium organisers) during my absence. Luke can be reached at: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
A reminder of the event details can be found below.
Best wishes,

I am pleased to announce that the second German Screen Studies Network (GSSN) symposium, 'Translating Stars' - German Cinema in Transnational Context, will take place from 9-11 September 2014 at the University of Leeds.
The symposium will focus on the transnational German star as the emblem of a cosmopolitan and internationalist film culture that reached its zenith in the golden age of the Weimar silents, but that is arguably resurfacing in the transnational productions, international image markets, and diasporic or ‘accented’ cinemas of the contemporary globalized age.
Details of the provisional programme can be found here: http://germanscreenstudies.co.uk/symposia
To register your attendance (which is free of charge) please contact me by 25 August.
Best wishes,
Chris…
