Hi all
This is incredibly sad. I didn't meet David but really enjoyed his work and thinking. As Deborah said, he was a real inspiration.
The British Psychological Society (BPS) Community Psychology Section - with others (so it won't be BPS branded!) are organising a 'Festival of Community Psychology' - to replace the more traditional and less accessible conference format. It is likely to happen by the end of this year.
If other people agree and think it's a good idea, I wonder if anyone would be interested in helping us organise something that might specifically celebrate David's work and life at this festival? Perhaps something creative based on his work? Perhaps a physical representation of his ideas about power for example? Or maybe an award for/celebration of an intervention that use his ideas?
There will be more information about the festival coming out very soon - but please get in touch if you have any other ideas for ways we can honour David at it.
Thanks
Sally
