A somewhat similar question, with a quick answer I hope: when programs output CC's of 1/2 datasets, are several random halvings compared/averaged, and if not, does this make a difference, or are the scores so similar there's no point?

Subject: [ccp4bb] random half data sets
Hello All,
I'm interested in doing some comparisons of random half data sets, inspired by statistics like CC1/2, CC*, etc. Does CCP4 contain some tool to split unmerged data into 2 random sets? Or is there some way to intercept this information from something like XSCALE or Aimless, etc.? Thought I would ask before trying to write my own script.
Thanks,
Mike
