HCI 2014 will be held between the 9th and the 12th September 2014 in Southport. The conference is organised by the University of Central Lancashire's ChiCI research group in conjunction with the British Computer Society.
The theme for HCI 2014 is sand, sea and sky and this relates to the joyful experiences we associate with events such as holidays and how we can understand and incorporate some of this magic in our HCI research along with interactive solutions we design and create.
We can confirm two exciting keynotes:

I. Scott MacKenzie is Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at York University, Canada. For the past 25 years, MacKenzie has been an active member of the HCI research community, with over 130 peer-reviewed publications (including more than 30 papers in the ACM SIGCHI conference proceedings). He has published extensively on Fitts Law, text entry systems and has recently published his fourth book entitled Human-Computer Interaction: An Empirical Research Perspective.
Jennifer Sheridan is the award-winning CEO and Founder of Togeva Ltd., located in London's Tech City. Togeva has developed a unique mobile platform that allows people to create, share and play with digital content together in realtime even when they are far apart. Jennifer was named "Entrepreneur of the Year 2013" at the FDM everywoman in Technology Awards.

As in previous year the HCI Educators Workshop will be held as a track within the conference as well as other exciting events such as our array of panels including the fascinating and entertaining ALT-HCI panel.
