Subject: Jobs for native English-speakers with a good knowledge of Slovak,
Czech, Bulgarian, Slovenian or Finnish (European Economic and Social
Committee/Committee of the Regions, Brussels)
From John Power [log in to unmask]
Dear Sir or Madam,
The English translation unit at the European Economic and Social
Committee/Committee of the Regions in Brussels is potentially looking to
recruit a number of temporary staff this autumn. Our main priority would be
to take on native English-speakers who have, among other things, a good
knowledge of Slovak, Czech, Bulgarian, Slovenian or Finnish. The contract
would be for an initial period of six months but, depending on various
factors, might be open to extension.
Could I possibly ask you to pass this message, and my email address
([log in to unmask]), to anyone you think might be interested?
Potential candidates should contact me directly and also upload their
details to the Committees' databases:
http://www.eesc.europa.eu/?i=portal.en.jobs
http://cor.europa.eu/en/about/jobs/Pages/temporary-staff.aspx
The Committees are two of the smaller EU institutions and are consultative
bodies that share a joint translation service. Candidates would be joining a
team of 20 English-language translators and 5 assistants.
Thank you so much for your help. If you have any questions at all, please
don't hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
John Power
