Research Assistant/Associate in Statistics
The University of Bristol seeks an outstanding Research Assistant/ Associate in Statistics, position tenable from 01 December 2014 or a date to be agreed, for a duration of 2 years. The successful candidate will work in the research group of Professor Guy Nason and will become a member of the Probability and Statistics Group within the School of Mathematics in Bristol. Candidates will be expected to have demonstrated outstanding research potential. The research areas of interest will be in locally stationary time series, energy time series and multiscale methods in statistics, see Further Particulars for more information. As the project will involve joint research with a wide range of partners in academia and industry, candidates with statistical skills ranging from mathematical, applied and computational statistics are desirable.
