italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Cari colleghi,
I had the good fortune to be in NYC last May and to go to the exhibit, which is stupendous. And what a fitting museum: its huge spiral staircase is most appropriate, since the spiral was such an important image to the Futurists.
cordiali saluti,
Carmine Di Biase

italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies Thank you! It's great to be alerted to this as it is so difficult to keep up with the various international events taking place. This year's Locarno Film Festival did a major retrospective of the productions of Titanus, including a rare opportunity to see 'Giorni di Gloria' on which there was a very interesting article recently in 'Italian Studies'. It's a pity when such occasions slip by, but perhaps other colleagues picked it up. So I would be glad to see such prompts now and again on this list. What do other list members think?
with best wishes,
Pauline Small

Ciao!
I don’t know if someone has already mentioned it, but I’ve just had a chance to see the Futurism show at New York’s Guggenheim Museum, and it’s quite comprehensive. Mostly paintings, but some graphics and a little sculpture, film, and theatre. Strongly recommended if you’re in the area.
