‘Museum Geographies’is a brilliant website. Much appreciated. I'm a regular visitor to ‘Museum Geographies.’
The name is rather obscure though.

Subject: MUSEUM GEOGRAPHIES
EXPLORING THE CULTURAL GEOGRAPHIES OF MUSEUMS, GALLERIES AND THE ARTS
A few weeks ago I created a website on Wordpress for use as a more informal
space for sharing information, and engaging in dialogues, about my research
relating to the cultural geographies of museums, galleries and the arts.
The new site is called ‘Museum Geographies’ and is accessible online at
http://museumgeographies.wordpress.com/.
Recent posts I’ve uploaded about the emergence of art world cities on the
African continent, exhibition reviews about the work of selected
contemporary conceptual artists, and my interviews with curators
specialising in art histories of the African and Caribbean diasporas (e.g.
Professor Eddie Chambers, author of ‘Black Artists in British Art: A
History from 1950 to the Present’ (IB Tauris, 2014) – http://
museumgeographies.wordpress.com/interviews), etc. have already attracted an
international readership – including site visitors based in the Comoros
Islands, South Africa, Guyana, Jamaica, Taiwan, Australia, Switzerland,
France and the United States…However, I am also keen to have conversations
and share ideas with fellow researchers and exhibition enthusiasts based in
the UK.
My most popular blog to date is a short commentary piece written about the
South African artist Brett Bailey’s forthcoming exhibition of his
controversial installation ‘Exhibit B’ (The Human Zoo) - scheduled for
display at the Barbican in London from the 23rd to 27th September 2014):

.com/2014/08/24/exhibit-b-a-poignant-performance-art-piece-or-just-the-latest-incarnation-of-a-racist-human-zoo/
…and the most recent upload (yesterday) was a review of Chalkley and
Elliott’s ‘Return of the Rudeboy’ exhibition which closed a few days ago at
Somerset House in London: see the blog titled, “’Return of the Rudeboy’:
Ska, Swagger and ‘Sapologie’ at Somerset House”: http://museumgeographies.

So, please do feel free to browse the site, and send feedback/comments on
anything that strikes a chord…
Regards,
Carol Dixon
