Dear Colleagues,
ARA South East Region will be hosting another of the popular ARA Core Training events on New and Refurbished Buildings in Brighton on Thursday 25th September.
This course offers practical and relevant training in new and refurbished archive buildings for those considering embarking on a project, or wishing to discover more about the topic for their own CPD.
The programme will introduce participants to the key issues and themes involved in the planning and construction of new and refurbished archive buildings. Talks and workshops delivered by experienced professionals will cover a number of key aspects, including funding procedures, PD 5454 and racking selection. The event will be held at The Keep in Brighton, and the day will include an opportunity to tour the premises. Elizabeth Hughes, County Archivist, will talk about her practical experiences of planning and moving into The Keep.
This course was extremely popular when it ran last year, and early booking is recommended!
Places cost £40 for ARA members and £80 for non-members. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Book online at http://www.archives.org.uk/events/viewevent.htnl?eventid=289
