One of the things I picked up at wikimania is that there is a UK Wikimedia thing, and the thing is involved in open knowledge. Given the traditions of librarianship, open knowledge is on our banner?

don't know whether anyone on this list has been to wikimania, or the digital revolution exhibition at the Barbican, but there is quite a lot in this stack that the memories of the Janet User Groups and the Birth of the Internet in Europe need to retrieve. The Internet of Things and the hyper Cat argument in the KIDMM list is a pointer to a potential political agenda.
